Message Your car is probably throwing the ECU code due to the temp sensor on the EGR valve. That is the only way that the ECU can tell if the EGR is functioning. Make sure that you have the sensor plugged in. If it is, then perform an ohm test on the sensor and see if it has continuity. The FSM should have specs on the sensor. Before I removed my EGR system, my car was throwing the same code very intermittently. I bypassed the sensor with a 68k Ohm resistor, and havent had the code pop up for 3 years now. Since it started happening right after a plenum pull, I would suspect that the sensor connection, or a pinched wire is the issue.

I dont have ny ideas about the fuel pressure problem except what you allready sugested. I would double check to make sure that the fuel line was truly plugged off when you pinched it. and that your guage is not at fault. Then the next step would be to pull the fuel rail and inspect it visualy. Sorry that I could not help more on that part.

Hope this helps.
